tourist fun

and so we had jln2 cari makan in march! i was still in bed when mentel partner sms-ed that she's already out and on the way. i was so tempted to snuggle back into bed considering the rainy cold weather BUT of course the "semangat-ness" took over me! hehe *mentel*...and so breakfast was all the way to tekka market in search for appam/apom!



the ultimate budget breakfast for two: *speak in mamak taking order tone* 2 appam/apom, 1 egg thosai, 1 hot milo and 1 teh tarik "okay? dhal? dhal?" >>> internal joke (ain didn't want dhal for the thosai and the person was asking..and we were like huh? what was he saying? dah? done? ooooooooooh dia tanya dhal? rupanya)



as ain would put it..we were so 'tak kena gaya' there at the tekka market. all around were the 'older gens' looking at us with their awkward stares like what is this 2 little girls doing here...sesat ke? some pakcik pakai songkok even dengen miangnya,"jemput makan..." ewwww!




after breakfast we decided to roam little india arcade and feel like tourist. at one shop, "aunty come inside take a look!" AUNTY eh??? then, we bought sweets and the uncle was like, "from where? far? fly here? indonesia come ah?" and mentel partner semangatly layan, "ah, jauh datang dari indonesia" hahahahah!




we then headed to national lib for our supposed study date. the courtyard is a really nice place to study!





late lunch/early dinner at "SABAR MENANTI" cause SOMEONE crave to eat minang kabau food! turns out, more like the people have to 'sabar menanti' we finish eating cause we are apparently one of the last customers before they close shop. but yummy food! menjilat jari...



on the way back, i did tudung shopping at arab street! oh and at little india, we bought cheap cheap mentel banglesss. AND lastly, SOMEONE decided NOT to go for the investment talk.... -_- semangat 46 short lived!
